PluMGMK: Most sound playing programs only try to play sound on the first wave driver. Once that device is in use, no other program may use it. If another program trys to use the same device, there will be an error. Some programs such as MOD4WIN 2.40 and SIDPLAY/Windows allow you to select which driv...

Nemoverum: Some general advice? MIDI drivers only process MIDI messages. The [MCI]MIDI driver reads *.mid files and sends their MIDI messages to a MIDI driver. Once you have both a MIDI and a [MCI]MIDI driver installed, a MIDI-Mapper applet should appear in Control Panel. Use the MIDI-Mapper Control...

The volume control program can request information for any driver index.
However, if the index is invalid, the information returned will always be undefined.

Are you able to play two *.wav files at once?

Thank you, PluMGMK. I thought I tested that version. :uh: However, for some reason I had an old version of the driver on the root of my C: drive and Windows was loading it rather than the new version in the /windows/system folder. Perhaps the updated version will work. The volume control program can...

Well, that does sound rather bad. :? I hope the adjustments in version 0.6 Improve the situation. http://turkeys4me.byethost4.com/programs/index.htm The problem lies in the diverse ways I've provided for playing *.wav file notes. Sndplaysound can only play one *.wav file at once. Wavmix can play 8 *...

That sounds interesting. My grandma used to cook SOS. I figured there was more to you. After all, What pinball wizard would pass the ball that easily? The exact implementation of the HDA standard is undefined. Does your system have multiple independent HDA systems or multiplexed codecs? It would see...

PluMGMK, feel free to share the patch you've created (indicate which HDADRV version it patches.) Perhaps HDADRV verion 9.L will solve the problem. http://turkeys4me.byethost4.com/programs/index.htm Unreasonable? I see no need to question your personal sanity or personal computer. Why not test the MI...

I've uploaded a newer version of the Windows 3.1 LPT Playstation Controller driver.
YAPSX1C can now be found within Ver35ec.zip
Let me know if this version works with your 286 and Playstation controllers.

I noticed that a few sb64 cards make more noise when changing card settings. Using Polywave as a base, I created new ens1373/1371 driver. The new version uses software based bit conversion to avoid all card configuration noises. Since this version supports two channels, two audio programs can play a...
