Windows XP (codename Whistler) is the first Windows from the NT series designed for mass consumer. The letters "XP" are coming from "experience". Microsoft ended the support on april the 8th of 2014. Windows Defender is not updated since.Windows XP is officially the followup of Windows Millennium and Windows 2000. Windows XP was released on october the 25th of 2001 and according to an estimation from an US statistic institute, it was sold close to 400 millions of copies in january 2006.
