Paradox is a relational database management system. It has been created by ANSA under MS-DOS (Paradox for DOS 1.1, 2.0), purchased by Borland in 1987. Borland has made it evolve under DOS (Paradox for DOS 3.0, 3.5, 4.0) until version 4.5, then has created Microsoft Windows' versions : 1.0, 4.5, 4.5 for Workgroups, 5.0, 7.0 for Windows 3.1 sometimes called 6.0 -- and 7.0 for Windows 95 and NT (32 bits) before give in the licence for the development and exploitation by Corel, who has released versions 8, 9, 10 and 11. Paradox est un système de gestion de base de données relationnelles. Il fut créé par ANSA sous MS-DOS (Paradox for DOS 1.1, 2.0), racheté par Borland en 1987. Borland l'a fait évoluer sous DOS (Paradox for DOS 3.0, 3.5, 4.0), jusqu'à la version 4.5, puis a créé les versions pour Microsoft Windows : 1.0, 4.5, 4.5 pour Workgroups, 5.0, 7.0 for Windows 3.1 parfois appelé 6.0 et 7.0 for Windows 95 et NT (32 bits) avant de céder la licence de développement et d'exploitation à Corel, qui a publié les versions 8, 9, 10 et 11.
