zx84823d.exe: These Win95/98 drivers enable the CC feature when used with the TV MAX tuner application V1.63 or above. These drivers do not support Windows 98's WebTV, but do operate in Windows 98 using the TV Max application.

tvmaxwdm-beta.exe: This file contains both the first Windows 98SE/2000 driver and a Microsoft Video capture utility (AMCAP.EXE). This driver only operates in Win98 2nd edition and supports the NTSC TV Tuner only and therefore can only be used in North American region. According to Conexant, Windows 98 (1st edition) has a bug that will not allow the BT-848 WDM driver to work.

The WDM driver is totally incompatible with all the software that is using the old Video For Windows (VxD) driver. So, after installing the WDM driver, VDO phone, the TVMax tuner application, VideoCap and other software using the VXD driver will not work. At the present moment, only AmCap and WebTV supports the WDM driver. Therefore only install the WDM driver when WebTV is desired.

Tvdiag.exe: This patch file provide better performance with TNT 2 display card.

tvmax165.exe: For USA and Canada: This TV MAX tuner application V1.65 requires the ZX84823c driver or ZX84823d. This version adds multiple tuner support. Select the tuner type T in the USA and the G type in China. Also included an AVI editor.

tvmax172.exe: International version: This TV MAX tuner application V1.72 requires the ZX84823c driver. This version adds multiple tuner support. Select the tuner type T in the USA and the G type in China. Also included an AVI editor.

Note: The TV-max 1.7x is a brand new software which has many features not available in the 1.6x. However, new feature means new hardware, TVmax 1.7 can only work with Printed Circuit Board version 1.2 (VP-8482 Rev 1.2) or above. Check your PCB number before installing the software. It is also recommended that customers in the USA use the V1.65 version.

848sispatch.exe: This program will fix a incompatibility problem using the capture card on a motherboard using the SiS (5511, 5596, 5597 and 5598) chip sets. It will install a program to be executed in the AUTOEXEC.BAT. The program will be run on every upon boot and it will modify the motherboard PCI configuration. There is no harm to run this program in non SIS motherboard, the program will detect the chip set before setting any register.
