Description

Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos is an RPG (more precisely, a dungeon crawler) developped by Westwood Sudios and released in 1993 for PCs. Scotia, a malicious witch, found a way to spread chaos in the kingdom of Gladstone by releasing and leading evil forces. The King Richard sends an adventurer - the main character, which you have to choose between 4 heroes with different characteristics - to look for the Ruby of Truth, an essential item to stop Scotia's plans in the south lands. Alas, everything won't go as expected ... this is the begining of a long quest that will lead the hero, rapidely accompanied with other characters, to resist to Scotia's plans through a gigantic and imersive universe and face a large variety of monsters and ennemies by resorting weapons and magic.

Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos est un RPG de type dungeon crawler développé par Westwood Studios en 1993 pour les PC. Scotia, une sorcière malveillante, a trouvé un moyen de semer le chaos dans le royaume de Gladstone en libérant et dirigeant des forces maléfiques. Le roi Richard envoie un aventurier -le personnage principal, à choisir parmi 4 héros aux caractéristiques bien différentes- chercher le Rubis de Vérité, objet indispensable pour contrer les plans de Scotia, dans les territoires du sud. Hélas, tout ne se déroulera pas comme prévu... c'est le début d'une longue quête qui verra le héros, rapidement accompagné d'autres personnages, s'opposer aux plans de la sorcière à travers un univers immense et immersif et affronter une grande variété de monstres et d'ennemis, tant par les armes que par le recours à la magie.
