Some jumpers on the VA-486VS pre Rev.8 (http://www.win3x.org/uh19/motherboard/show/2719 ) seem to be in different position than shown in the manual.

Did you mean GA-486VF?
Just found one searching for the box of ST-506 controllers.
I have to go neutralizing and cleaning it from the battery lye. :o_O

What is so special about it?

I read the EPROM - the BIOS on my one is identical to the one on http://www.win3x.org/uh19/motherboard/show/2716 .
