Description

ChiWriter is a scientific text editor for MS-DOS, published in 1986 by Cay Horstmann of the defunt Horstmann Software Design corporation. It was one of the earliest programs which can support mathematical formulas (WYSIWYG). Contains a font editor too.

ChiWriter est un logiciel de traitement de texte scientifique pour MS-DOS sorti en 1986 et édité par Cay Horstmann de la défunte société Horstmann Software Design. Il fut l'un des premiers logiciel pouvant écrire des formules mathématiques (WYSIWYG). Il contient un éditeur de police.

Outre son propre format de fichier (CHI) capable de contenir des équations et autres caractères spéciaux, ChiWriter peut exporter nativement au format ASCII (format limité mais universel) mais aussi, si le pilote d'impression adapté est installé, au format PostScript

Bonjour,
A l'époque je n'utilisais mon PC que pour programmer sous Turbo Pascal et toutes mes applications tournaient sous DOS je n'avais pas windows.
Et Chiwriter était mon traitement de texte favori

Ce logiciel supporte de nombreux modes graphiques, allant du CGA au VGA en passant par le MCGA et d'autres modes graphiques obscurs !
